I Wish by Jim.
There is never a good time to be told bad news and this is especially true
over any Holiday. We found out just after Christmas 99 that I had
breast cancer. This poem expresses his feelings trapped deep inside.
I met Jim on the Internet one night in early '96
and married in July
'97. This was our third holiday as husband and wife. When he married me, he knew
then I had medical problems ... but we never dreamed of what was
coming.
Jim surprised me just after my birthday in
February with this char of his poem, "I Wish." I had been after him for
before we married to chart his poetry. It seems that this was the time for
him to make that decision. To make this even more special, we decided to dedicate it to all of those that are affected with
cancer. To that end, we have a special price on this chart of
$10.00! Our normal price for charts has been $7.50. By offering it
at $10.00 we will match your donation of $2.50 making it $5.00 directly to
Breast Cancer research in your name (or anonymously)!
Comes with original
autographed copy of the poem ready for framing in 8.5" x 11"
frame (frame is not included).
I Wish
I wish I knew how to say for you,
the words to bring you cheer.
I wish I knew how to say for you,
the words to remove your fear.
Our yesterdays are in the past,
so now you can remember the love.
Of knowing what you have here now,
all are a blessing from above.
We have no way of knowing,
what our tomorrow will be.
But m'love know down in your heart,
that I will be here with thee.
The love I had for you yesterday,
is no less than the love I have for your today.
It will be even greater for you tomorrow,
and with every passing day.
